Who is responsible

I’m Julio Cesare Pea, the operator of jpea.io, based in London, UK. You can use the contact page to ask about your information or make a privacy request.

Enquiries and meetings

The contact form asks for your name, email address and message so I can respond and discuss your enquiry. These details are sent to my mailbox using Google Workspace. Please leave out sensitive information that is not needed for the conversation.

Unsuccessful enquiries are retained for 30 days. If an enquiry becomes an engagement, information needed for that work is handled as part of the engagement and any applicable record-keeping requirements.

I use enquiry information for my legitimate interest in responding to business correspondence, or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, where applicable. It is not used to subscribe you to marketing.

The meeting form asks for your name, email address, selected time and timezone. Cloudflare processes the booking and passes your name, email and meeting time to Google Calendar to create an invitation and Google Meet link. Available times are calculated from calendar availability; existing event details are not shown to visitors.

Google Calendar stores the meeting and attendee details. The website does not keep a separate booking database. To request a change to a meeting, use the contact form.

Hosting, spam protection and access

Cloudflare hosts the website and provides Turnstile spam protection. Requests and verification can involve technical information such as your IP address, browser information and security signals. Verification is required before an enquiry can be sent or a meeting booked.

Google Firebase Authentication handles invitation-only sign-in, including your account email, authentication information and session.

Cloudflare and Google process information to provide these services and may process it outside the UK. Their privacy information describes their processing and international transfer safeguards:

Information in your browser

Your theme and booking time-format preferences are saved locally in your browser. Authentication uses browser storage to maintain your sign-in session. You can remove this information through your browser settings; doing so may reset your preferences and sign you out.

The site does not currently use analytics or advertising tracking. Third-party booking and security services have their own storage and processing practices, described above.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict its use, or receive a portable copy. Use the contact page to make a request.

You can object to the use of your information where I rely on legitimate interests. Contact me to explain your circumstances and I will consider your request.

You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
